I am still somewhat nervous entering a gun store and range. Today, I had an absolutely wonderful experience with the man and woman working around 3pm. Both were tremendously outgoing and knowledgeable and put me entirely at ease. Realizing I was a newbie, they spent extra time with me and offered to show me how to clean my gun afterwards. To put it in perspective, I have shot at a few other ranges in both Fort Worth and Dallas, but had never cleaned my gun because I was afraid of not being able to put it back together. In addition, I was too embarrassed at the other ranges to ask for help. Today, your two jumped in with enthusiasm and I felt completely comfortable by the time I left. Thanks to the two great people you had working today, I have found my permanent gun range. Over time I expect to buy a laser for my Glock19, another pistol, a shotgun, etc., and plan to direct my dollars towards your store. I want to make sure you know how truly valuable your staff is. Randy gave me a card for 1/2 off next time I come in because of having to share a lane with someone. I also noticed the new lighting in the range and I appreciate you guys keeping up with the lights. Because of my work schedule I hardly ever have time to go to the range so that time is precious to me. Whenever I walked in I was greeted like I had been coming there for 20 years. Thanks again, Whitney Simpson Hello Tim, I’ve been meaning to write to say Thank You So Much for teaching a great class for the CHL. As you probably noticed, I was nervous/apprehensive about it all at the beginning. I wasn’t doubting you or the class, I was doubting my ability…knowing that I was coming from nearly no familiarity with guns, but knowing that the CHL is something that is necessary for me to have. The fellows in my life are “good ol boys” in regards to their experience in shooting, so “shooting range etiquette” was not part of their upbringing. And, the only other range we visited was one that was run so “militarily” that it made us all very uncomfortable. NOT the atmosphere for me to receive any training. Those are the thoughts I had with me when I came to “endure” a day of teaching…but The Shooters Club folks and you were the exact opposite of what I was expecting…Thank you all so very much! Tim, your style of teaching is exactly what I needed, and what I believe most people are looking for. You gave us all the information in such an understandable way that is so practical. We will remember it. So, thank you, again, for giving me far more than the CHL. All of you there at The Shooters Club…you’re the BEST ! Thank you for every thing… H. Coon Hi, I attended the CHL class yesterday (October 4th) taught by Tim Scally at The Shooters Club. I wanted to take a moment to express my extreme satisfaction with my whole experience. I was very impressed by Tim’s unique methods of teaching. I had done quite a bit of research on the laws and process of obtaining a concealed weapon license before taking the class. I attended the class with the expectation of not really learning anything I hadn’t already read. I left the class astonished with the knowledge that I had gained, along with many clarifications on things that I had interpreted incorrectly when reading the Texas statutes relating to the CHL. I think Tim is a very likeable and approachable guy, and he definitely knows his stuff! I had checked out 3 other gun ranges when looking for a place to take my class, and fortunately for me the class I was going to take at another range cancelled, because The Shooters Club also had the lowest price that I had found! I don’t often go to this trouble to recommend somebody for anything, but I feel that Tim definitely deserves a pat on the back, and I highly recommend that anyone else who needs to take a class for CHL… do yourself a favor and take Tim’s class, you will be glad you did!
