SHOOTING CLASS Why do you shoot? Is it a love of guns, the beauty of the weapon itself? Is it the sport of it? Is it really the punching of holes in paper targets for relaxation? Or is it truly a desire to be able to protect yourself? Being a good target shooter isn't enough in a real life or death situation. Practicing in a range, shooting at paper targets, limits your ability to face a true life-threatening situation. Furthermore, bad habits learned on the firing line can cost you your life! Practice is important, but so is training! It can be life saving - yours or someone else's, or both! But, training doesn't make you a pro. It just means you're not a beginner, doesn't matter if you're talking golf, shooting or swimming. Continued practice, once you've learned the proper fundamentals, is how you continue to progress. With shooting skills, it takes thousands of holster draws to form muscle memory that can, and will, save your life. Hitting the target, under stress conditions, has to be learned. It requires conditioned reflexes. Split-seconds do make a difference. Tactical Shooting training classes include the proper way to practice, including low-light and multiple targets, not just standing and shooting 10 or 15 rounds and trying to hit the center of a bulls eye. After this session you'll be able to continue on your own with a whole new prospective on improving your shooting skills in a life threatening situation. |
